Summer Research Programme |
| Undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in the summer research programme during their summer vacation to gain valuable additional experience in practical chemistry. In this programme, students will receive trainings on various aspects including literature searching, chemical safety and advanced instrumentation. Students can also be involved in frontier research projects supervised by our faculty members. This experience is particularly useful for those students who intend to pursue a higher degree after graduation. Currently there are about 30 undergraduates participating this programme annually. |
Summer Internship Programme |
| In this programme, students will have opportunities to work in some chemistry-related industrial and commercial organisations, either locally or in the mainland, during the summer vacation. This allows them to have valuable exposures to the actual working environment and practices of these sectors. The nature of the companies involved in this programme spans a wide spectrum including testing and quality control, electroplating and cosmetic industry, etc. |
