Starting from 2001, the Department of Chemistry organises the Chemistry Summer Camp during the summer vacation for Secondary 6 students. This programme aims to inspire students with the beauty of science as well as to stimulate their interest to explore the fascinating world of Chemistry. This programme includes popular science talks, interesting chemistry experiments, group discussion and presentations and a variety of social activities.
The Chemistry Expo was held during the summers of 2001 and 2002. This function was organised by a group of second-year undergraduate students under the supervision of our faculty members. It was a half-day programme including talks on modern chemistry delivered by undergraduate students, a hands-on laboratory session and a poster session.
